Feature Breakdown

Everything Tripwire actually does.

This is the plain-English version of the product: what it catches, what it logs, who can use it, and how staff stay in control.

Core product areas

What Tripwire is built around
01
Automatic enforcement

Watched channels and scam-image matches can trigger automatic moderation without staff staring at chat all day.

02
Staff visibility

Logs, server status, pending unbans, and command references stay in one dashboard instead of scattered across channels.

03
Tight access control

Regular members do not get dashboard access, and sensitive scam-image controls can be owner-only.

Moderation trap

Watched channel enforcement

Tripwire watches the channels you arm, ignores protected staff accounts, and punishes normal users or raiders who post where they should not.

  • Add one or many trap channels per server.
  • Choose ban mode or timeout mode.
  • Optionally delete the trigger message after it fires.
Image defense

Scam-image watchlist

Known scam images can be fingerprinted and watched across one channel or the entire server, with exact-match and stricter fuzzy matching support.

  • Owner-approved image watchlist controls.
  • Exact hash plus two visual fingerprints per image.
  • Mod-log review embed when a watched image is caught.
Audit trail

Logs, status, and review history

Tripwire keeps staff-facing records around what fired, what failed, what is armed, and which punishments are still waiting to expire.

  • Per-server readiness checks and setup status.
  • Recent bans, failures, unbans, and pending unbans.
  • Homepage live stats for installs, armed channels, and catches.
Access control

Scoped dashboard visibility

Discord sign-in only unlocks servers a person actually shares with Tripwire and has authority over, which keeps the dashboard from turning into a public mod panel.

  • Owners, admins, and moderators can sign in.
  • Regular members stay locked out.
  • Server-specific passwords can scope dashboard access even further.
Command layer

Slash commands that map to real admin work

Tripwire exposes setup, punishment, logging, scam-image, and dashboard commands through Discord so staff can manage it without touching raw config files.

  • Watched-channel add, remove, clear, and enable controls.
  • Punishment mode, duration, reason, and log channel setup.
  • Scam-image add, remove, list, and scope controls.
Operational safety

Automatic cleanup and safer moderation flow

Temporary bans can unroll automatically, timeouts are bounded by Discord limits, and staff get enough context to verify what happened before doing follow-up cleanup.

  • Scheduled auto-unbans for temporary ban mode.
  • Protected staff accounts are excluded from automatic punishments.
  • Server-wide or single-channel scam-image scope, depending on how aggressive you want the watchlist to be.

What Tripwire is not trying to be

The product gets cleaner when the boundaries stay obvious.

Not a giant kitchen-sink mod bot

Tripwire is built around trap-channel enforcement, scam-image defense, and staff visibility instead of trying to replace every Discord moderation tool at once.

Not open dashboard access for everyone

The website is intentionally scoped and restrictive. Shared server staff can get in; random members do not.

Not a black-box AI moderation gamble

The scam-image system is based on explicit watched images and local fingerprint matching, so staff can understand what it is reacting to.
